10/26/2007 - DNS

I finally discovered that no one could get to my site. I suppose I should keep up with that better. Well, here it is. I'm hoping to start building some new features into the site soon. It's looked the same since I started it. Hope all is well.

9/12/2007 - Weather & Cougar Football

I know, I know....you know you're getting old when the weather becomes a topic completely unto itself. The thermometer in my truck said that it was 65 degrees while I was pulling into work at 9AM. That's insane. I mean, it's very nice weather, but it's still September. The forcasters are calling for a warming trend through the rest of the week, but it's supposed to be nice and cool on Saturday. FALL IS COMING!!!

My cousin, Will Casey, is the starting quarterback at my old high school. Congrats to Will on a great first game, and good luck on the rest of the season. Cassidi and I are planning to go down for a game.

9/10/2007 - Stupid update

I'm not sure why I'm so excited about it, but I got a dry erase board for my home office. I've always had one at work, and used it MANY times to plan programs and data storage schemes over the years. I don't know how much of that I'll be doing here at home, but hey, at least now I can. More fun to come.

9/08/2007 -

I'm reasonably certain that anyone that was reading my site has long since stopped. I've been busily working my life away lately. The way things are, I am on call every other week. Hopefully we're going to change that soon. Crispin is starting to mature. His behavior has improved significantly over the past few months. Cassidi is back in school. Teaching is such a tough job. I'm so proud of her skill, and dedication to her kids. All I have to say is that, while teachers get the whole summer off...I'll take working year-round over the difficulties associated with teaching. I suppose that I don't have anything

6/05/2007 - Nothing new to report

Cassidi's out of town for two weeks. It's lonely here. On the upside, I've had time to do some things I haven't in awhile. I've been experimenting on the grill, messing with some computer stuff, and working on the house. It's going to be a busy summer. Hope everyone's enjoying the warmer weather. We'll be pleased when the rain lets up.

5/28/2007 - A big update

Wow...so...It's been awhile. Some of you may know that I left my old job at Verizon, and took a job with Travelocity as a Web Systems Administrator. Exciting. I'm actually thrilled to be learning some of the things that I am, and looking forward to being converted from contract to employee. I enjoyed my time at Verizon, and will miss my coworkers there and the work that I did. It was time to move on. I was a contractor for 3.5 years. The original intent when I was brought onboard, was contract to hire after 6 months. Needless to say, that didn't happen, and I remained on a contract until 2 years. Verizon has a strict policy about contractors, and will not allow people to contract for over 2 years. That is the cutoff time. So, instead of hiring us, they found a way around the policy, and kept us contract. The intent was to hire asap. That was 1.5 years ago. So there you have it. The inner working of my career to this point. I've been at Travelocity for 2 weeks, and I like what I'm doing. Looking forward to learning more.

1/25/2007 - Changes

I haven't had time to fully take stock of all of the changes that have occurred since the before my server broke, but there have been quite a few. We've moved into a house. We have a dog. We've been to Pennsylvania and back. Wow. The house is great. Having it makes me feel a little old...or grown up. I'm not sure I really wanted to grow up. The dog is around to help me feel younger.

Crispin is an American Foxhound. He is about 10 months old, and a bundle of energy. He's a great dog, but there are some things we're going to work out with a trainer. I'll add some photos soon.

1/24/2007 - Repaired

I have repaired my web server. I'm going to try to update more often, and maybe complain a little less. My cable connection is broken today. Hopefully it will be back by the end of the day.
